color

image from:http://szc.deviantart.com/art/Colours-52728658

This is poster using the typography to represent the paint oil spray out of the pot. I like this poster because the designer using the different colors for each corresponding names of color. In comparison with the background black and white color, the colorful typography in the middle of the image seems to be more repulsion attraction.

Interesting typography

This poster is a good example to put the simple typeface with 3D mold together to make a image base on typeface. The designer make the typeface on a sharp of people's head, a 3D ear been made in 3D, in this way to make me to easy know that, typeface is person' s hair. I think it is a good idea to make a ear in middle to be 3D, if the ear have not made in this way, it can not be noticed by people. We can imagine that if the ear is flat, how much attention will you pay on this poster.

We can also say, because that ear have been made in 3D, more people want to see this poster more closer, and than find this poster have done very clever, creative. Also the repetition of word " deviant art" can make people easy to remember. So I think that is a good typography advertising, a good poster.

3D typography

image from: http://arnovw.deviantart.com/art/Social-Media-132212732

This is a 3D wall paper made by Arnovw from social media. Because it is a wall paper so he choose the simple color as background, with simple 3D fronts . I quite like the question marks, there are been made in different sharps and put in random way to show different surface of question marks. If you look carefully, its not to hard to find there are lots of small question marks on each surfaces of these question marks.

I said designer put these question marks in random, but still made a sharp of triangle, in the middle of this triangle have main words "social media". Same as the question marks, there are lots of web side logo been put on the surfaces of these letters. The only different is these logos using the color rather than the black and white on question marks. By using the color to make these letter more colorful than the question marks, also make people easily focus on the middle letters while they seeing this.

Color typography poster

I think this is a good example of color typography poster. The designer choose the brown as a background with the gradient. It makes the background more looks like an old wall paper, and this color usually to be represents an historic thing. The designer put this old historic color together with light colorful fronts to make a strong contrast, in this way to let people more focus on the middle part. As well as make the fronts more fresh, more powerful. Than, base on the colorful fronts, designer using a simple white color to make a bigger fronts.

I like this poster because designer layout lots fronts in a random, but using the different color to make three layers, these three layers make those letters looks very clear, also let me knowy which layer is important. From this poster, I find it is also can make different layers in same paper by color.

Alphabet by paper

This is another interested piece of typography design, which is created a alphabet by simple papers. This alphabet was designed by Vladimir Tomin by using the 24 pieces of A4 paper after fold.

I really like this because it is a good piece of creative design outcome. Even there are some letters still really hard to recognized. But if we see these 24 pieces of paper together, it is not difficult to know that is an alphabet.

typography face

This poster showing the how a person's face created by the typography. I quite like this because it using the color rather than simple black and white. In this way I can easily focus on person's face, which is using the light brown color. When I saw this poster first time, I thought it was a good choice to using the light brown in top of the head, because it likes the sunshine on his face. Also, the designer choose big fronts on the hair by cold color, there are make the all image more balance.

Urban Typography

This poster was designed by Jason Drakeford at 2007. Jason is a art director at Razorfish New York and freelance as a film/animation director in Brooklyn.

I remembered the brief we have done before, typographic journey, once I saw this. In that brief we should create an alphabet using inspiration found in the city, which is exactly what this post showing. This alphabet created by the sharps between sky and the roofs of the buildings, it shows the a city in a different view.

From that poster I totally understand a quote by Proust " The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new landscapes, but in having new eyes." Which is exploring places that I know but with an open perspective to see everything that may have otherwise over looked. This perspective really open my eyes, make notice more things around me and a better respect and understanding.
